I loved this book!! I always (at least when I read books/watch movies about adoption) wonder how hard it must be to have been adopted and totally love your adoptive parents but at the same time want to know about your birth parents. This is the dilemma Jane finds herself in. She has a huge, loving family but still wonders about the birth parents who gave her up for adoption. So she decides to give up her life: she leaves her teaching position, sublets her apartment, and moves to the small town where she was born. She takes a job as a nanny to support herself while she searches for her birth parents.
I really like Julia London's writing style and the way the characters come to life so well and so vividly! This is the perfect beach read. It had drama, love, mystery, and a little suspense. I think you should go buy this book before your next trip to the beach!! Rating:
