Happy Birthday Jacob!
My middle son turned 4 today!!!! Since DJ is out of town (snowboarding in Tahoe) we did dinner and pie (his choice). He opened a small present from us and presents from family. He recieved a new jacket from an uncle, from my mom he got the Chipminks Beanie Babies and the Soundtrack from The Squeakuel. We got him a puzzle and a 3 train Thomas set. And DJ's parents sent him some candy and $20 which he can't wait to go and spend! LOL
"Pop some popcorn. Melt a bag of white chocolate in the microwave and pour it on top of the popcorn. Add the Valentine's M&M's to it and mix it. Let it cool and harden." Since I don't have an air popper for popcorn (and would probably set my house on fire if I tried to pop popcorn in a pan) I microwaved a bag of Kettle Corn Popcorn. -I figured Movie Theater Buter might be kind of gross. I used white chocolate chips and regular M&M's. They taste amazing and they are bright and colorful thanks to the M&M's. Here they are on the tray hardening. I put them in little goodie bags with ribbon and a tag for each child!!
Normally when the kids have a birthday I bake cupcakes for them to take to school. But Jake is in a special Early Intervention class so they only go to school from 8-11 am. So I saw these White Chocolate Popcorn Treats on My Little World and thought they looked awesome so I decided to make them for Jacob to take to school tomorrow. Here are her directions:

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Tennessee, we went to visit near Dollywood this past November the week before Thanksgiving and it was just beautiful, my favorite story is when a horse almost leaped off a side of a mountain, crazy story but it is funny. The mountains are beautiful, I live in DE and we don't have them here.

We live about an hour/ hour and a half from Dollywood. Both my husband and I grew in San Diego, CA. We transferred out here in 2004 when he worked for Best Buy. We stayed just over a year before moving back. It was hard because Blake and Kayla were little and we had no family/friends here. We rented out the house we bought and went back to CA. But our tenents called in May 2009 and said they were moving out and we decided with the economy and the kids being older that it was a perfect time to move back. So 2 weeks after I had my youngest, we jumped in the UHaul and made our way back to the mountains of TN. We love it here and with the cost of living and crime so low here it is best for our family!
