As a busy mom, wife, student I am usually a dollar short and a day late.  So I am little late starting on my New Year's Resolution but decided that with spring, I was going to make (and stick to) some resolutions.  One of my resolutions was to start getting up early and exercising, another was to start making time for me to be alone and plan my day.  So when I got the opportunity to try a cognitive meditation CD,by Suzanne Jessee, I thought that might be a positive thing to add to my spring resolutions.  The CD has meditation and imagery sessions for both day and night.  The day session helps to get you thinking about your day with a positive attitude.  It helps energize you and getting you feeling optimistic about the things you may encounter today.  The night session helps to quiet your mind and get you ready to sleep.  I always have a really hard time falling asleep because I sit and think about what I did that day and what...

I love jewelry!!  And one day while I was online surfing or "window shopping" I came across ChunkyBling.com . They have the cutest  chunky jewelry !! Really pretty necklaces, watches, and necklaces.   And the  Swarovski Crystal Rings  are super cute!!  They are strung on a stretchy cord so that it is easy to slip on and off your finger and make them fit really comfy even if you are between sizes.  It was a tough choice between the crystal ring and the also super cute Swarovski Pearl Rings .  So I decided to let my 7 year old (who also loves jewelry..Don't know where she gets it from LOL) pick the ring she liked best.  She chose the light blue crystal ring. I was so excited when I got home from school today and saw that the mail lady had brought my new shirt from Snorg Tees !!! Snorg Tees makes shirts and hoodies for men, women, and kids.  Plus if you have an idea for a design, they are always on the lookout for cute stuff.  This is the shirt I got, cute huh?  I ordered an XL cause most shirts I try on seem to have been made for a 10 year old boy not an adult woman.  But this tee fits great.  It is long but not to long (I'm too old and had to many kids for short shirts) and is the SOFTEST cotton.  They were very quick in sending it to me also.  I only ordered it Tuesday and got it today, Friday.  Plus this weekend they are having a huge sale with 20% off everything!!  Or you can enter my giveaway and hope you win one!!! I just finished reading the book Just Let Me Lie Down by Kristin van Ogtrop.  It is a hilarious look at the life of busy moms.  And if you go check out my other blog, I Heart Books!!! , you can enter to win 1 of 3 copies and read the full review.

I am so excited to review the lip balm from Lip Stuff !!  Just let me say that I LOVE lip products! When I opened the envelope I found my 3 lip balms in a cellophane bag tied with a pink ribbon.  How cute.  I had 3 flavors to try: Maple &Brown Sugar Oatmeal, Lemonade Ice Cream (limited edition Easter flavor), and Coconut Creme Pie.  My hubby, who uses Chapstick all the time (I know it's weird) tried the Lemonade and I went with Maple and Brown Sugar.  From their website:  "My Lip Stuff products are skin, earth, and animal friendly.  That means we NEVER test our products on animals and use only the finest ingredients that are skin safe and environmentally friendly."  They are more buttery then most chapsticks I have used and I love that!  They are also longlasting and really make you lips "kissablely soft."  The lemonade is a very mild scent and flavor which my hubby liked.  The Maple smells just like real syrup, I ke...

I LOVE getting mail!  So today when I got home and found a package from Charm Factory , I was thrilled.  I have loved charm bracelets since I was little.  But all the ones I have found are cheaply made and look like they would last about 10 minutes before falling apart.  Then I found Charm Factory! They sell charm bracelets and individual charms.  They have a million (or so it seems) charms to choose from. I just discovered a site that makes the cutest shirts for girls!! Pigtail Pals !  I love it.  They inspire girls to wear not just pink but all colors.  And they are inspiring girls to break gender stereotypes and to truly be whatever they want to be.  Here is a blurb from their mission statement.  "I think our girls deserve more. Dear Cody,      Maybe if you let us watch something other than Scooby Doo (the snowy one) then we would be more open to the possiblity of watching it.  However, the other kids and I may go crazy if you make us watch it again today.  Once a day is too much let alone twice.  How about once a week?  No deal?  Ok how about every other day and you can watch Scooby Doo (zombies!!) on the other days?  Whattya say is it a deal?  Great.      Also while we are on the subject of movies, if you get up and leave the room I am going to turn it off.  What do you mean no?  Ok how about if you are gone for longer than 5 minute?  Ok 10 minutes and thats my final offer.  Great.  Now if you don't stop standing in front of the DVD player we will be watching NOTHING cause your big butt blocks the remote sensor. Since Cody is 28 months old and I am on Spring Break this week, I decided now would be a great time to start potty training.  Yesterday afternoon I let Cody pick a pair of underwear that he wanted to put on.  He went with a very stylish pair of Spiderman undies.  I set the timer for 15 minutes and tell him when it goes off  "It's POTTY TIME!!" He looks at me and says..."NO."  Fast forward 15 minutes.  Timer goes off and we all yell "POTTY TIME!!" "WOOHOO" etc.  I manage to wrestle, cajol, and bribe Cody onto the potty seat on the toilet.  We read 2 books (no trashy magazines or newspapers in our bathroom!) and no pee. So we get down, wash our hands and re-set the timer for another 15 minutes.  Fast forward another 15 minutes.  Same story BUT different ending.  CODY PEED ON THE POTTY!!!!  Yay! So he got 4 M&M's and we re-set the timer. After 15 minutes, he says "I don't gotta pee."  Ok fine.  !5 minutes late...

My middle son turned 4 today!!!!  Since DJ is out of town (snowboarding in Tahoe) we did dinner and pie (his choice).  He opened a small present from us and presents from family.  He recieved a new jacket from an uncle, from my mom he got the Chipminks Beanie Babies and the Soundtrack from The Squeakuel.  We got him a puzzle and a 3 train Thomas set.  And DJ's parents sent him some candy and $20 which he can't wait to go and spend!  LOL Normally when the kids have a birthday I bake cupcakes for them to take to school.  But Jake is in a special Early Intervention class so they only go to school from 8-11 am.  So I saw these White Chocolate Popcorn Treats on  My Little World  and thought they looked awesome so I decided to make them for Jacob to take to school tomorrow.  Here are her directions: "Pop some popcorn. So we bought a new TV and blu-ray DVD player the other day so DJ had to re-program our Dish Network remote to control  both.  Well earlier I went to turn the TV off using the remote and it turned on my Ipod on its docking station. WTH? So not only did the Ipod turn on the TV didn't turn off (When I hit it again the TV finally turned off).  The worst part is DJ doesn't know how that could have happened so he can't fix it. So randomly-it doesn't happen all the time-the TV remote controls my Ipod. Strange...
